Beware when you upgrade to Aperture 2.1.1, that you will need your serial number … why they do not tell you this during the process of upgrading is insane … ok, so I should have my at arms length … but I did not … it was lost … ok, I am at fault again … so with original install “cd” in hand, I head on over to the Apple shop in Makati where I made the purchase, thinking they could help me out … nope, all they did was give me a 1-800 number to call, in the Sates mind you …
I had to resort to less than desirable means to get my Aperture back up and running, while I wait on Apple to provide me with a new serial number … which I am sure will take weeks / months if ever at all …
Now onto the upgrade …
The Aperture 2.1.1 update provides compatibility with MobileMe and addresses issues related to performance and overall stability of Aperture 2. The update includes fixes that affect several features, including:
Auto-stacking, Preview generation, Adding keywords, Comparing images, Importing and exporting projects, Crop HUD, Histogram, Highlights & Shadows controls, Dodge & Burn plug-in, Lift & Stamp HUD, Exporting versions, Slideshows, Adjustments pane and Adjustments HUD, Printing, Book themes, Help menu …
I have noticed an increase in application performance, especially on application “start-up” time and launching of plug-ins, specifically launching of NIK’s Viveza … Viveza loads in a fraction of the time in comparison to Aperture v2.1 …
