Canon 30D / EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens “handheld” (200mm f/4 1/400s -0.7ev ISO400)

You got to love WP! … for those that do not know, using the the TinyMCE Adavanced plugin, you have an added option to “swap image” with an “alternative image” … this is great to show others “before / after” comparison of adjustments you made to your photographs …

To see this in action, using this post photograph, simply “mouse in” and the original photograph (not edited) will appear and then “mouse out” and the modified photograph (edited) will appear …

I will begin implementing this feature throughout my site … so mouse over, tell me what I may have done differently to further improve IQ on my photographs …

To implement:

Download and install the TinyMCE plugin
Upload both your original and modified photographs and embed either the original or modified photograph using the WP “add an image” option into your post … I make the modified photograph as my primary source
Copy to your clipboard the “url” of the photograph you wish to use as your “mouse over” photograph
Highlight the photograph in your post window and then select the TinyMCE “insert / edit image” from the menu bar
Select the “advanced” menu tab
Check the “alternative image” check box
Paste in the “url” of the “for mouse over” photograph
Paste in the “url” of the “for mouse out” photograph
Select update

Now when you “mouse over” your photograph, the original version of your photograph will seamlessly appaer, allowing one to compare / critique upon the changes you have made … this is a very slick implementation … GREAT for “photo blogging” …
